Kakabika and Yondota Falls Hike

The Ottawa National Forest is hosting a public trip to two lesser-known but easily accessible waterfalls in Gogebic County, Michigan. The hike will start with Kakabika Falls on the Cisco Branch of the Ontonagon River. The trail to Kakabika Falls is just 0.1 mile. Then the group will drive 16 miles to Yondota Falls, north of Marenisco on the Presque Isle River. The hike to Yondota Falls is 0.3 miles. 

Where: Kakabika Falls trailhead on County Road 527 (Thayer Road), just 0.5 miles north of US Highway 2. County Road 527 is 15 miles west of Watersmeet.

What to bring: Water, boots, camera. Consider a picnic lunch if you want to eat on the rocks by Yondota Falls.
