Fish and Game will have a work party to clear winter debris from the Agonikak Trail on May 18th. We will meet at the wayside just north of LOL on Hwy 45 at 9:00 AM. We should be done by noon. We will spread the work groups out so that no one should have to walk more than 3 miles. We will not tackle large trees, but each group will note the location of fallen trees and washed out areas. I will arrange separate work groups to tackle these at a later date. This year we will hire someone to blow the leaves and cut weeds using our equipment. Following the work party, Wilderness Lakes Trails will host a luncheon at Jim and Mary Thomas’s house. All food and beverages will be provided.
We will need a few hand saws, loppers and rakes. Let me know if there is someone you want to work with. Also we will need a few volunteers to drive.
Please let me know if you will be helping out, so we can plan the work groups, food and refreshments. Reply to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you would like to help with the larger debris and fixing washed out areas, let me know and when I organize the work group, I will contact you.
Thank you, Jim Thomas
